Let me hear of your unfailing love to me in the morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I have come to you in prayer. Psalms 143:8
"I love you." What a joy it is to wake up and these are the first words you hear in the morning from your significant other. "Good Morning, I love you." I had to repeat it again because of the sheer energy it provides just hearing these words. It would be desirable for almost anyone to wake up in the morning and not just see love - but "hear" love.
However, the potential reality is that everyone does not wake up to these words from a physical human being. Even if you have a spouse, these three words may not be the first ones on their lips. Yet in Psalms 143:8, David makes this request of God to let him hear of God's love toward him in the morning. David declares his trust and asks for direction on where to walk as he has come to him in prayer.
Like David, we desire to hear of God's unfailing love - every morning. As you start your day, make time for prayer so you can sit still to hear "I love you." Trust God to lead and guide you through this day.
Lord, let me hear your love for me and let me see where you want me to walk.
